an ema is...

a small wooden plaque on which japanese worshipers write their prayers or wishes.
emas are left hanging at shrines where the spirits or gods can read them. they tend to be
uniform in size and shape and often have the word
negai or wish printed on the back.

in 2008 we sold more of our decorated emas and d.i.y. ema kits then any other art product.

decorated emas make perfect party favors; send your guests home with a unique
handcrafted art piece and a special wish. our kits make a great
shower game; guests can
decorate their emas and give them as special keepsakes for the guest of honor.


































both the decorated emas and the ema kits can be customized. we encourage you to
indicate your color preference(s). fabric and ribbon samples are available for your final
selection. in addition, booklets that come with each kit can be personalized with your event
information or particular instructions for your guests.
